Alex Verba

Alex’s responsibilities include the management, evaluation, and workout of the firm’s portfolio company investments, including financial restructurings and operational turnarounds. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Alex was Senior Vice President at A&J Capital, where he successfully structured, invested, and managed a portfolio of $400 million in real estate assets. Alex worked on multiple debtor and credit side turnaround engagements at Alix Partners, and his professional experience also includes direct investments in high yield, leveraged loans and distressed assets at TIAA-CREF and CIT. Alex graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University, holds an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder School at the University of Pennsylvania, and received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School.
