JD Sheldon

JD’s responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing firm investments as well as asset management, with a specific focus on the consumer debt finance vertical. Prior to joining Metropolitan in 2019, he was the CFO at CreditMax, a specialized lender to debt buyers, where he oversaw the funding of over $400 million across more than 1,500 transactions with less than 2% principal loan loss. Prior to CreditMax, JD held multiple roles for one of the country’s largest debt purchasers, Equable Ascent Financial. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Augustana College and holds a M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
